It’s been on our bucket list to go to LEGOLAND Florida for a while now. We finally had the opportunity to go during the LEGO STAR WARS Days. It did not disappoint!
As a first timer, I learned a few things. Of course, you know I had to share the scoop.
You can watch LOCAL KID SCOOP in their LEGOLAND VIDEO BELOW to see more of the LEGO STAR WARS DAYS.
1. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
During my visit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But then I realized they had something for everyone at LEGOLAND. There was something for the LEGO builder, something for the thrill seeker and something for water lover.
2. RIDE THE GREAT LEGO RACE
Virtual Reality is trending and what cooler way to experience it but on a roller coaster. The Great LEGO Race is a thrilling ride that takes you on a race with other LEGO characters. You can ride side by side with your child wearing these cool VR headsets but if your little is too scared you can opt out of wearing them and just experience the roller coaster.
3. BRING SUNSCREEN
There are beautiful trees with a lot of shade at LEGOLAND. But there are parts where you are completely exposed to the sun. Don’t think you won’t get burned, especially if you go to the water park. Apply sunscreen before you enter the theme park so it has a chance to set in your skin.
4. BRING WATER
If you are not used to the Florida heat, it can creep up on you. Staying hydrated during your day at the park is so important. Bring in a mini soft cooler of sippy cups and water to sip on throughout the day.
5. WHEN IT RAINS
LEGOLAND is open rain or shine. However, they do shut some of the rides down and close the waterpark due to thunderstorms or heavy rain. You can ride Ninjago The Ride or Merlin’s Challenge until the weather clears.
If the weather affects the rides for more than 90 minutes, they will offer guests a free ticket to return in the next 365 days, no questions asked.
6. LET’S COOL OFF
When walking around the park, you’ll find mister fans in areas to cool you off. If that’s not enough water for you, you can always go to the water park. From the wave pool to the lazy river, you and your family are sure to cool off there.
