Many juice bars are popping up all over South Florida. There is juice bar I’ve recently tried that has customers coming back for more. With lines out the door, 3 Natives Acai and Juice Bar Franchise in Boca Raton is becoming the local hangout.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Christie a local resident and one of the owners of of the Boca Raton 3 Natives Acai and Juice Bar Franchise. Mike moved to Florida to open up his dream restaurant, so he could experience the coastal lifestyle after working finance in New York City. Now from suit to t-shirts, he is creating healthy, fresh juices, smoothies, Acai bowls, wraps and salads, as well as juice cleanses along with his partner Amanda Folsom. They both found a need for a casual restaurant that served, healthy meals in South Florida.
“Boca Raton, with its proximity to beaches, multiple fitness centers and universities, embodies the healthy 3 Natives Lifestyle,” said Ms. Folsom.
Here is the food scoop on my lunch at 3 Natives.
PB&A ACAI BOWL
The Acai bowl recommendation was the PB&A. It was layered with organic Acai, peanut butter, granola, banana and strawberry. After the first bite, my girlfriend and I decided to save it for dessert. This would be great for breakfast, an after school snack or dessert for your kids instead of eating junk and processed foods.
BLACK BEAN HUMMUS WRAP
The Black Bean Hummus wrap was a nice alternative to having meat for lunch. Black bean hummus, romaine lettuce, purple cabbage, shredded carrot, chopped red pepper, cucumber, corn relish, sunflower sprouts, avocado spread, and Pico de Gallo were all rolled up in a beautiful wrap (It comes as a salad as well). The avocado dipping sauce was my favorite part. It was enough for two to share.
AVOCADO MANGO TOAST
The Avocado Mango Toast under the Bagel/Toast Section of the menu was another recommendation from Mike. Slices of multi-grain bread were layered with avocado, mango, sunflower sprouts, cayenne pepper (gave it a kick), cracked black pepper and a sprinkle of Himalayan Pink Salt. I could eat this for breakfast or a snack anytime.
3 Natives offers so many specialty drinks like Alkaline Water and 221 B.C. Kombucha in various flavors. But my curiosity couldn’t resist trying the Nelly’s Cold Brew Coffee. This was the first time trying a cold brew and it was delicious. Mike created Nelly’s coffee as an homage to his brother using his nickname and other ways like the bike in the logo. I enjoyed listening to Mitch talk about his brother. He is very passionate about his business and his family.
