I’m sure you’ve heard it before. Your husband announces that you’re either hosting everyone over for the game. Or you’ve had a last minute invite to watch football.
When your not sure what to make or bring, I have the scoop.
Check out my 5 Last Minute Game Day Food Hacks for hosting the perfect gathering.
1. Buffalo Chicken Dip
Here’s a little secret….it’s from Publix. When I served this appetizer to my husband, he cannot believe I didn’t make it. Their Buffalo Style Chicken Breast Dip is always a winner. It has real chunks of chicken, Neufchatel Cheese, hot sauce and sour cream. Sounds so easy to make, but who’s got the time? I don’t!
2. Artichoke & Spinach Dip
Another game day food idea is to serve this artichoke & spinach dip from Publix. Their Artichoke & Spinach Dip is made with artichoke hearts, spinach, and asiago cheese. You can throw it in a bread bowl or serve it heated which I prefer. It taste amazing like you made it special for all of your guests. You can usually find this in the deli section at Publix Supermarkets.
3. Guacamole and Pico de Gallo
I just recreated this recipe from Chef Josh Capon who I had the pleasure of meeting at the Macy’s Culinary Council Event in Miami. I love this recipe because it’s now an after school snack for my kids. It’s also low in calories and a healthy alternative to serve for your game day party. Now I just always have the ingredients on hand to put together. You can get the recipe here!
4. Tangerines
Put a bowl of tangerines out and have the kids partake in a peeling contest. They’re in season and kinda like mini footballs. It’s another healthy appetizer to serve. You could use it as a stress reliever when the score gets to close to call.
5. GoGo Squeez
An easy game day snack to put out for the kids are GoGo Squeez on-the-go snacks. My kids are huge fans of the GoGo Squeez Yogurtz and Applesauce. You can pick these up at your local Publix or order them online.
The Publix dip looks fire! Omg I need it with some celery sticks right now!
