Are you worried about your child’s speech? Are you wondering when your child will read?
As a mother, these are some worries that keep us up at night with our little ones. There is so much pressure to make all of these milestones. Sometimes we could use extra help or some guidance.
Every time my children watch a popular kids’ network, the latest learning tool for kids is being shouted across the screen. But I don’t love the monthly fee subscriptions and some of the programs seem too complicated. Or my kids find the latest app that will tease you as a freebie and then charge you continuously for each new learning section.
There are so many learning tools for kids, it’s hard to know which one is the right one for your child. Finally, I was turned onto Learning With Yaya.
This is such a wonderful program because it uses music, videos and books to help your child develop basic language skills. Your child will learn opposites, action words, letters, and categories, through repetition and association, all while having fun!
Each of these topics uses every day skills that a child needs to learn along with speaking and singing the topic. It’s recommended for ages 2 and above.
This product would have been fantastic for my daughter when she was learning to talk. But now, I’m excited to use this program as a tool to help her read. And she is loving it!
Here are 5 Reasons Why My Child Loves Learning With YaYa
1. The Songs
My kids love to sing and listen to music. When they listen to or watch the Learning With Yaya videos, it helps them learn every day skills not only for school, but at home as well. The ACTIONS video really helps with that morning routine we all struggle with.
2. The Books
Since my daughter is beginning to read, these books contain many of the sight words she is learning in school right now. These books are great for early readers, but also for children who are learning to talk. I truly believe reading with your children everyday (we read at night) helps with their speech and turns them into a lover of books.
I love watching my daughter as she gains confidence from the Learning With Yaya videos. She learns the words in each topic and remembers them when reading the books. Win! Win!
3. Learning With Friends
Not only do you sing and Learn With Yaya, your child also has five adorable friends to have fun with. These fun characters are featured in the books, videos and printables. Milky is a favorite in our house as you can see from the video above.
4. The Printables
After she watches a video and reads her books, she really wants to show off her knowledge. The FREE PRINTABLES are so much fun. It reinforces that she is really getting a grasp of the words, sounds and content. Sorting by categories, coloring and cutting are part of these printables and usually are what most preschool classes are reinforcing.
5. Available In Spanish
Spanish class was available at my daughter’s pre-school. She was taught her colors, numbers and other appropriate topics. Unfortunately, Spanish is not offered in many of the elementary schools where we live (South Florida). This shocks me because she still remembers many of the Spanish words and I could see her wanting to learn more.
Now she can do the Learning With Yaya program in English and then in Spanish. How cool is that?
So why Learning With Yaya….
Yael Herszkopf Mayer, the founder of Learning With Yaya and a pediatric, bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech and Language Pathologist realized that throughout her years of experience working as a Speech and Language Pathologist, most children have one thing in common: they all love music and watching videos!
Being a music lover herself, she always dreamed about merging the two things that she is passionate about: teaching and music. This is how Learning with Yaya was born.
