I could eat Mexican Food 7 days a week. There is something about chips and salsa that get me excited. So when Cabo Flats invited me for a blogger dinner I couldn’t wait to try.
My husband and I went to the Cabo Flats at Delray Marketplace. It was a very open space for a restaurant which made me think this would be great for families.
We started off with drinks Margaritas, chips and salsa, and guacamole of course!
GUACAMOLE
Made to order guacamole is Cabo’s traditional house recipe made with ripe avocados, onions, tomatos, lime and cilantro.
SALSA
Cabo’s traditional homemade salsa goes great with their tortillas. Tomatillo Salsa Verde, Seasonal Fruit Salsa
AVOCADO FRIES
Ten slices of avocado fried with panko bread crumbs and served with a roasted garlic cilantro aioli
CABO QUESO W/GROUND BEEF
Creamy white cheese with roasted peppers along with the Cabo cactus spice blend and pico de gallo
CRISPY TUNA TACOS
The crispy tuna tacos were amde with Yellowfin tuna, avocado, pickled onion, cilantro, tomato, mango dressing drizzled with lime juice served in a crispy wonton shell topped with shredded carrots.
MEXICAN STREET CORN
This interesting dish comes with two pieces of grilled corn served on skewers, cilantro lime garlic aioli, cotija cheese and sprinkled with Cabo’s spice blend.
QUE PASTA
This was a spin on penne pasta which had a tequila tomato cream sauce with chorizo and bacon topped with cotija cheese and cilantro.
CHIMICHURRI STEAK
The grilled skirt steak was marinated in Adobo and topped with chimichurri sauce. They served it with cilantro rice, seasonal mixed veggies and plantains.
FRIED ICE CREAM
The Fried Vanilla Ice Cream Wrapped in Pound Cake, Tossed In Captain Crunch and Deep Fried, Topped with Whipped Cream and Drizzled with Chocolate and Raspberry Sauces
The service was amazing. We had Robert who was a new employee. He was super attentive to us (he didn’t know I was there for a blogger dinner until later on). It was nice to reconnect with my husband for a great date night.
