Families will enjoy exclusive access to the park amenities after the Community Center closes to the public. Activities will include:
- Children’s Science Explorium exhibits
- science demonstrations
- glitter tattoos
- make and takes
- family photos
- resource fair
- dance room
- petting zoo
- strolling characters
- chance to win prizes
New this year will be a drumming session, led by Creative Arts Therapies of the Palm Beaches. Additionally,
families can enjoy the beautifully expanded Science Garden, free carousel rides, and the inclusive 3-story science playground. Each guest will also receive food tickets for pizza and dessert.
“We welcome any child with a disability to enjoy a night out with their friends and family, and perhaps make new friends too,” said Stacee Lanz, special events coordinator. “The evening will be full of activities for the whole family.”
To best accommodate guests, sound modifications will be made at the Explorium and the carousel, (which has a wheelchair lift); a quiet room will be available in the community center; and registration spaces will be limited. Especially for Kids will take place rain or shine, as most of the activities take place indoors.
