When the world decided to be in a pandemic, that ruined it for all of us. In South Florida, we are truly in season when it comes to events.
My calendar was full and that all changed with quarantining and social distancing. I selfishly needed to create something to look forward to for myself, my family and for all of the Local Mom Scoop followers out there.
I had some family fun night ideas for my family, but I thought I should try and share this scoop with everyone.
I’ve been hosting Family Fun Night With Local Mom Scoop every Friday night. They are virtual online events that you can take part in with your family and also social distance.
You don’t have to live in Florida either to participate.
Here are some of my past events. And if you are looking for ideas and tired and hopeless, here are a few from the past and don’t worry… there are more to come.
SIDE WALK CHALK ART
My first Family Fun Night With Local Mom Scoop event was getting outside and creating positive sayings and pictures with chalk. Little did I know this was happening all over the United States. Which is a pretty cool thing to be a part of something like that.
This is something you can do any night and keep it up. I looked outside and saw a little girl stop on our sidewalk on her bike to read some of the positive phrases and encouraging words my kids wrote. That one moment was worth all of the planning.

Our second Family Fun Night was a scavenger hunt that I created. Families had from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM to find all the items from the list. Then they had to submit their photos to the Facebook event page.
The winner won a $25 gift card to Amazon.
You can still download this scavenger hunt printable and play with your family.Dark-Blue-Pink-Wedding-Checklist-Planner
FAMILY GAME NIGHT
Local Mom Scoop hosted a virtual online Family Game Night. We started a a game of Risk in the beginning of this qurantine. It’s all about World Domination. I think my kids want House dominiation at this point.
But for our Family Game Night, we played Harry Potter Trivia Pursuit dressing up like Harry Potter Dolls which we have.
Other games that we are having fun with on other family nights.
