I’ve had the opportunity to have microblading about 5 times now, but I’ve always chickened out.
Recently, I’d grown tired of filling in my brows with powder, pencils or having them died to dark.
Then I discovered Maybelle Beauty Bar! Meagan, the owner of Maybelle Beauty bar, was amazing to work with. She’s a true artist and took so much preparation before the procedure to make sure that I was happy and that she was happy.
Now I had lots of questions about microblading at Maybelle Beauty Bar and so did you from my Instagram and Instastories.

1. What is Microblading and how long does it last?
Microblading is a way of semi-permanent make-up, where through manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin we create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows.
The effects last up to 12 months after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows exactly as they were.
Result looks natural and flawless as hair effect is recreated on the skin.
2. What does Microblading feel like?
For the first Microblading session, my procedure lasted about 1.5 hours.
During this session, the brow technician Meagan and owner shaped, styled, took photos and showed me in the mirror before beginning.
Then she followed with pigment color selection which was Fawn for me. I didn’t want my eyebrows to look 3D in photos or real life.
3. Can you wash your face after Microblading?
Wash very gently for up to 2 weeks – do not disturb any scabs that may be forming. Maybelle gave me a gentle cleanser to use along with a special salve she found works the best. She provides you with all the instructions whe you leave. Do not pick at any scabs or flaking.
