When you think of Saquella Cafe in Boca Raton, you think of frothy cappuccinos, delicious pastries and a crowded breakfast scene on the weekends. But to my surprise, Saquella Cafe now offers a dinner menu.
“The new menu is diverse, unique and influenced by Med-Italiano Flare, served in a European atmosphere.”
The Executive Chef David Fogel and his team created many of the new menu items that I had the pleasure of trying at a recent blogger dinner tasting. Everything thing from delicious appetizers to hearty entrees, there is something for everyone on this menu.
Roasted Cauliflower, Zucchini, Eggplant, Roasted Red Peppers, Hummus, Tomato Salsa, Falafel, Tahini, Grilled Pita
The Mediterranean Platter was a hearty appetizer that could be eaten as a meal or shared family style. The tahini was the perfect dip for all of the veggies and the falafel balls.
Goat Cheese Croquette
Crispy Goat Cheese Croquette, Onion Jam, Crostini, Scallion
The warm crispy goat cheese croquette melted in your mouth. The onion jam was the perfect sweet accessory to this dish.
Grilled Fennel, Corn, Tomato, Lobster Salad, tarragon Cream, Microgreens from Nomad Farms
I could have had this for dinner alone. There were so many components to the lobster bisque. From the microgreens to the lobster salad, it was a meal in a bowl.
Wild Caught Salmon, Cilantto, Citrus, Grilled Artichole-Lime Aioli, Avacado topped With Arugal, House Made Cahllah Bun
This was a delicious alternative to want red meat. The arugal added a nice crunch.
Quinoa Crusted Salmon
(not on menu, but always available)
Braised Kale, Toy Box Tomatoes, Microgreens Salad, Quinoa and Panko Bread Crumbs
I’m not a salmon lover, but I could have eaten the entire plate. The Panko bread crumbs gave it a nice crust with every bite.
Horseradish Infused Potato Waffle, Braised Short Rib, Cabernet Demi-Glace, Horseradish Cream

Grilled Garlic and Herb Skin-On Boneless Half Chicken, Fingerling Potatoes, Sundried Tomatoes, Feta, Balsamic Glaze, Arugula Salad
I enjoyed cutting through the Balsamic Glazed Arugula salad and eating it with a bite of the crispy chicken.
Layers of Puff Pastry, Sweet Custard Cream, Fresh Strawberries
Each bite of this Napolean was light and airy with a delicious creamy custard and fresh strawberries between each layer.
Turtle Brownie Sundae
Gluten Free Flourless Brownie, Walnuts, Caramel Sauce
When you think of gluten free desserts, you probably think dry and dense. But this brownie was so yummy, I will never think bad of gluten free again.
Key Lime Pie
Key Lime Curd, Fresh Whipped Cream, Graham Cracker Crust
This was a nice twist on Key Lime Pie.
