What do you do at a sleepover party these days?
My daughter is having sleepovers with friends, but I don’t want them on technology the entire time. I asked her if she had any sleepover party ideas for tweens and teens. She was so excited when I asked!
The list was long but I think we narrowed down some fun things girls would like to do. I thought all of these were pretty reasonable especially #3, but I don’t think they will allow me to be a part of that.
Here are 8 Sleepover Party Ideas for Tweens and Teens.
Who doesn’t love popcorn during a movie?
Note: Make sure you have an alternative for those wearing braces. Set-up snacks of chips, cookies and crackers that others may want and can go to later.
2. SPA NIGHT
Who doesn’t love to pamper themselves sometimes?
Tweens and teens need to indulge in a little self-care, too! The ideas are endless, from facials, manicures, pedicures, and makeovers.
3. TIK TOK DANCE OFF
Have them learn to WHOA! Which they already probably know. But it will take them an hour to learn the next trending Tik Tok dance.
4. SELFIE PHOTO BOOTH
In this day and age of selfies, a photo booth is an awesome and fun idea that they will love!
You can easily buy a bunch of fun photo booth prop items at your local dollar store or on Amazon. You can also DIY some funny signs and additional props.
5. CUPCAKE DECORATING
If you don’t have time to bake, you can pick up cupcake decorating kits from Publix or your local bakery. It’s a fun way to have dessert and get creative.
6. SLUMBER PARTY GAMES
There are really fun lumber party games out there to keep them off technology for awhile.
Get the scoop on some of the games on our Check out this list for some really neat ideas with instructions!
7. GET CRAFTY!
Letting their creative side out is always a fun alternative to the usual sleepover filled with movies. DIY and creative projects are always a hit and tons of fun. Like making some unicorn poop slime or beautiful handpainted feathers!
8. PIZZA DINNER PARTY
Doesn’t every kid love pizza?
Buy pre made pizza dough from your local food store. Publix has alread made pizza dough that you can freeze.
Have an array of toppings available like pepperoni, ham, and pineapple (my girls love that). If one of the kids is gluten-free and you can’t find a gluten-free crust, then Costco has cheese gluten-free frozen cheese pizzas that they could work or Bisquick has a gluten-free pancake mix that you can use.
