VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP CREDITS From DMAC STUDIOS
Under these trying and difficult times, we want to support both the creative children & teens in our community meanwhile assisting the financial needs of families. So, we have credit a Virtual Camp Credits Program, which allows parents to purchase camp credits in advance and save. The more credits you purchase upfront, the more you can save!
Our Virtual Summer Camp programs are calculated on a 1-3 points system depending on how many hours taught per day. The purpose of the program is to allow your child or teen to select from our constantly growing library of Virtual Camp Summer programs.
Once you purchase the credits, you will still need to reserve with us directly which camps you want to enroll them into and for which weeks. Each camp program has a limited amount of available spots. Camp weekly reservations are based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you wish to only purchase one week at a time, you can do that directly on the individual camp program listed. If you wish to buy more than one week, you may wish to buy camp credits AND SAVE!

Real Connections SoFla Summer Camp For Kids- Virtual

Real Connections Sofla will be offering an online summer program for kids beginning June 1st.
Classes will keep your kids CONNECTED to themselves, their friends, the community and nature.
Monday- Friday Real Connections will host live ZOOM calls in order for your children to be interactive with the teacher and their campmates.
The online subscription will also include a Facebook Group where you and your family can post any work/ projected they’ve created and use the forum as a way to engage and communicate with other families.
Real Connections SoFla wants to give all parents an opportunity to continue their self-care and keep working, so all the videos will be recorded and sent via email and Facebook.
Therefore if you have a meeting, errands to run, or a yoga class to take you will have an array of 30-45 min recorded classes you can set your child up with and they can independently participate.

Wednesday, June 17, 10-10:45 AM – Science Wiz with Vero – Discussion about what it means to be a scientist; Hypothesizing and experimenting to learn about the natural world. Children will enjoy a rhyming story about a young scientist who was curious about the world, Ada Twist the Scientist. Then we’ll dive into a fun and colorful experiment using just 3 ingredients; water, oil and food coloring.
Thursday, June 18, 11-11:45 AM The Power of “I AM” with Keyla -Yogis will read “I am Yoga” together and practice the yoga postures illustrated in the book. We will conclude class by creating out own positive affirmation cards!

Monday, June 22, 10-10:45AMReduce, Reuse, Recycle!with Vero – Reading of Veronica Green’s book; Diary of a Plastic Bottle. Discussion about the effects of plastic on Earth’s natural habitats. We’ll learn about how to reduce our contact with single-use plastics and how to recycle properly with a recycling game. We’ll end with a fun upcycled art project using bottle caps and crayons.

Boca Summer Horse Camp & Staffordshire Equestrian Center – Live

WHAT: The summer camp program will focus on equine care, balanced seat riding and on the ground horsemanship techniques. We follow the USPC curriculum.
Proper care of the animals and equipment will also be stressed.
We will participate in farm chores including but not limited to:
- mucking stall
- cleaning feed and water buckets
- assist in farrier and veterinarian procedures
- equine training
- grooming and bathing horses
- mending and cleaning fences
- painting and continued general maintenance of the farm and stable areas.
Daily activities will change on multiple day camps. We will NOT participate in water activities but will enjoy the outdoors when weather permits.
WHEN: June 1 – July 30. Before and aftercare is available 7AM – 8:30AM & 2PM -6PM at the cost of $3.00 per hour per camper. All current lesson students and their families receive the group rate. Camp will be held rain or shine.
AGES 6-14
COST: 250.00 per week. Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 2:00 pm. Return Campers, siblings, and for groups of 2 or more the rate is $200.00 per camper no additional discounts apply. A non-refundable deposit in the amount of $ 25.00 per student/per session is required to confirm space in the camp. The balance is to be paid in full 5 days prior to the first day of camp. THE KRAVIS CENTER ONLINE LIVE PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES – Virtual
Students can register for virtual learning with world-renowned teaching artists this June
The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has created Bring Down the House, a line-up of fun and engaging online live performing arts classes for theater-loving students looking for something they’ll love to do or else they might actually bring the house down!
The virtual classes will take place from June 1 to June 26 via the Zoom platform with class sessions starting at 10 a.m. for students interested in singing, dancing, acting and behind-the-scenes production.
The highly interactive, 45-minute classes are limited to eight children per class and tailored for 9 to 12-year-old students. Bring Down the House is designed for all facets of performing arts and has a new topic each week.

- June 1 – 5: Acting Up
Monologues, taught by Niki Fridh
- Fridh, a multiple award-winning actress based in South Florida, leads this class for children who were born to be performers! Fridh provides a fun and educational class to help students sharpen their skills through interactive theater games, improvisation and scripted performances. Students will learn to use their voices, bodies and imagination to create interesting and fun characters for the stage!
- June 8 – 12: The Play’s the Thing
Playwriting, taught by Matt Stabile- The Play’s the Thing is perfect for young creatives looking to take their stories from the page to the stage! Stabile, artistic director of Theatre Lab, the professional resident company at FAU dedicated exclusively to new plays for the American Theatre, leads this exciting class in creating original work using the basics of playwriting. Drawing inspiration from existing fairy tales and classic children’s stories, Stabile will guide students through the process of generating an idea, creating a character, writing and rewriting scripts, and performing their original monologues and scenes!
- June 15 – 19: Dance it Out!
Musical Theater Dance, taught by Lindsay Bell
- Bell is a dancer, actor, singer and choreographer who has performed, toured and choreographed at many prestigious theaters and stadiums in America and Canada. She provides an active and engaging musical theater dance class where you will not only focus on dance technique, but students will explore various dance styles used in Broadway shows. The young artists will get to train and refine their performance skills, all while paying special attention to connecting to the audience and telling the story through movement and emotion. This class is perfect for the young performing artist who wants to further their passion and talent for the stage!
- June 22 – 26: Stagecraft
Instructors include Kravis Center Technician and Designer Shawn Lawson and professional Costume Designer Penny Williams.
Students can sign-up for one week of virtual classes within a specific discipline for $100 or they can register for all four weeks for $400. The Kravis Center is also offering private coaching and voice classes for Bak Middle School of the Arts and Dreyfoos School of the Arts auditions in theater, dance, communications, piano and vocal performance, Monday through Friday, per the teaching artists availability. Any child can participate ranging from elementary to high school students.
AGES 9-12
COST: The coaching classes will be done one-on-one via the Zoom platform and are $65 per one hour of coaching.

Jungle Island Summer Adventure Camp – Live

After months of lockdown, kids now have something to look forward to this summer. Jungle Island, Miami’s popular outdoor eco-adventure attraction, is planning to offer a Jungle Adventure Camp.
Kids will finally have the opportunity to break out of their shell, meet new friends, and enjoy animal and nature discoveries of the wildest kind.
While a reopening date to the public is still to be determined, Jungle Island feels it is important to provide parents with a safe option for childcare/camp where strict health and safety procedures will be in place to reduce campers’ exposure to coronavirus.
Here’s a sample itinerary (dependent on group):
9 a.m. – Camp starts / Create piñatas for orangutan enrichment
9:45 a.m. – Snack time
10 a.m. – Learn how animals use smell for directions and to identify different foods
11 a.m. – Lunch time
11:30 a.m. – Water play
12:30 p.m. – Keeper talk with animal
1:15 p.m. – Design your own apparatus that will safely deliver an egg down a two story drop
2:35 p.m. – Animal yoga in a Zen garden
3:30 p.m. – Snack time
3:50 p.m. – Camp pick-up
WHEN: July 6 – August 7, 2020, Summer Adventure Camp will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday.
AGES 5 -12
In accordance with CDC guidelines, Jungle Island will enforce social distancing; separate campers into groups of no more than 10 people; require counselors to wear facial coverings; and require regular washing of hands and use of hand sanitizer; among a number of measures.
COST: weekly rate of $175 per week, per child, or daily for $60 per child. Early and late care is an additional cost.
Parents must send campers with their own lunch. No refrigerated or microwaved items will be allowed. Payments must be made online (only) and received at least 14 business days prior to enrollment date to hold a space. There is a non-refundable deposit of $50 at the time of registration due to limited availability. Registration is subject to change and a refund will be issued in the event of any conflict due to COVID-19.
