Our trip to Universal Orlando was in exchange to share the Local Mom Scoop with you. All opinions are 100% my own.
This was our first spring break that my husband didn’t have to work. So we were able to road trip up to Universal Studios Orlando and stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
It was such a treat to stay on the property with amazing accommodations, dining options and the special benefits for staying at the resort.
Did I mention the 50’s retro decor?

Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort Rooms
When I travel, I really enjoy accommodations with plenty of space. The Family Suites at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort offered just that for my entire family to spread out, relax and unwind.
The 430-square-foot room Family style suite sleeps up to 6 with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa which included a sliding partition for privacy.
The bathroom is broken down into three separate areas so at least 3 people in our family could get ready at once. Thank goodness because we wanted to utilize the early park admission into Universal Orlando and my girls can be a bit slow when it comes to getting out the door. (See more scoop about the Early Park Admission below)
Our suite featured a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, microwave, and a sink along with plenty of storage to unpack all of your clothes.

Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort Restaurants
The grab and go retro style restaurant was perfect after a long day at Universal Studios Orlando. Knowing my kids would be too tired to dine at the restaurant, I ordered mac and cheese and meatballs and spaghetti to go.
With so many stations to choose from, there was something for everyone. From the Deli Station to the Pizza Station, healthy options were available like the Asian Chicken Wrap and Super Greens Pasta. To see the full menu, go here.
Galaxy Bowling Alley
Have you ever been to a resort with its own bowling alley? The Galaxy Bowling Alley featured a ten-lane bowling alley offering lunch and dinner. It was the perfect spot for lunch before we headed to the parks for the afternoon. The Black & Bleu Burger, the Bacon Cheddar Burger, and the Classic Galaxy Burger were our family favorites.

The Hideaway Bar & Grill
Downstairs from our family suite was The Hideaway Bar and Grill. You can grab a cocktail, a sandwich and enjoy the pool or Lazy River just a few feet away.
The Swizzle Lounge
Located in the main lobby area, The Swizzle Lounge was the perfect spot to relax and do a little people watching. You can sip updated versions of vintage drinks like the New Side Car and Spiced Mai Tai, as well as the signature Swizzle. I did a quick drive-by on my way up to the room.

Don’t worry about getting your coffee fix. STARBUCKS is on the resort property along with room service from Delizioso Pizza which is available during limited hours.
Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort Pool and Lazy River
When we first arrived at the Resort, my family wanted to go down the Lazy River which was located in the Lazy River Courtyard just downstairs from our family suite. Along with that were a sandy sand beach, the poolside Hideaway Bar & Grill, two fire pits and plenty of outdoor seating which was perfect for our vacation style.
On the other side of the property,
If you need a moment to run on a treadmill, the Jack LaLanne Physical Fitness Studio is complimentary for hotel guests. While The Ace The Arcade had video games and more in case of a rainy day.
When you stay at the Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, you get Early Park Admission* To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and Universal’s Volcano
The hotel also provides complimentary shuttle buses and walking paths around the resort. So you have easy access to, Universal Studios Florida™, Universal’s Islands of Adventure™ and Universal CityWalk™.
Thank you to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal Orlando for hosting Local Mom Scoop and Local Kid Scoop. As we drove out of the resort, my girls were already planning their next trip back.
