Many schools allow you to walk your child into school or to the classroom, but most have what they call a “carline”.
CarLine is the line you wait in for at least 20 minutes to either drop off or pick up your child to and from school. It is the line that no matter how early or how late you arrive to drop off or pick up your child, it still takes 20 minutes. (Trust me! I’ve tried everything.)
As I wait in my 2 car lines a day, I started wondering what other mom fashion was happening in these cars I stare at every day.
What is their CarLine Couture?
I imagined what they could be wearing based on the school year, holidays or what kind of night I had with my kids.
Then I thought about what mine has been throughout the last few years and it became clear what the hottest carline fashion trends usually are. They just happened to change a little with the trends, but not by much.
Here is the Top CarLine Couture Trends you won’t miss.
The Pajama Couture
This outfit consists of cotton pajama bottoms, a faded college sweatshirt, and fuzzy slippers. I’ve been known from time to time wearing a similar outfit which is usually based off my children’s sleep performance from the night before. Here is a more updated version and not so tattered look you can pull off.
The “I Might Workout” Couture
This ensemble is either head-to-toe Lululemon or some inexpensive throw on Look. You’ll see it at cross fit, yoga, Trader Joes, Publix, Fresh Market, the Juice Bar, and Starbucks.
The Target Couture
Target Couture is the hottest and only place to shop when you’re still buying diapers, breast pads and promised your 3-year-old a trip down the toy aisle. A crisp white scoop neck t-shirt is a CarLine Couture basic along with the latest designer pieces showcasing only a few sizes, so you better claim it or else. Check out the new collection from Victoria Beckham.
The Happy Hour Couture
This outfit usually expresses the love for or yearning for that evening glass of wine that can’t come early enough. I imagine this to be a Friday outfit after all the lunch making, homework help and hugs you gave during the week.
The “I Work Out Of The Home” Couture
This look is the mom who has to head to the office, then meet-up with a client and show up to the kids game still looking fabulous. She seems to have it all together, but secretly is like the rest of us moms.
The Couture Couture
With this outfit, you actually wear the latest designer fashions from red-heeled bottom pumps, to the LV tote bag, you drop off the kids and head to the Mall and have lunch with friends.
